Dry Needling

Targeted trigger point therapy to release chronic muscle tension, improve blood flow, and reset muscle function.

Dry Needling

Resetting Tight, Overworked Muscles

Chronic muscle tension rarely resolves with stretching alone. Persistent trigger points, those tender knots of contracted fibers, keep muscles tight, restrict blood flow, and refer pain elsewhere. Dry needling targets these points directly to break the cycle.

At RecoverX, a thin filament needle is inserted into the trigger point to provoke a brief twitch response, releasing the band and restoring normal muscle length. Paired with reactivation drills, the treatment leaves muscles looser, better supplied with blood, and ready to fire on command.

Palpate & Map

We locate active trigger points and taut bands driving your pain and tension.

01

Needle & Release

Fine filament needles elicit a twitch response that releases the knotted muscle fibers.

02

Restore Flow

Improved local circulation flushes the area and calms the overactive nerve signaling.

03

Reactivate

Light movement and activation drills reset the muscle so it fires correctly under load.

Common Questions

Is Dry Needling The Same As Acupuncture?

No. Although both use thin filament needles, dry needling is grounded in Western neuromuscular anatomy and targets myofascial trigger points to release muscle tension, while acupuncture follows traditional meridian theory.

Does It Hurt?

You may feel a brief cramp or twitch as the needle reaches a trigger point, which is a normal sign of release. Most patients describe mild soreness afterward, similar to a deep workout, that resolves within a day or two.

How Soon Will I Feel Relief?

Many patients notice reduced tightness within hours, though lasting change usually takes a few sessions. We combine needling with mobility and activation work to keep the muscle relaxed between visits.
